Speed, Control, and Precision in a Compact Footprint

The PARAGON KM9 Pro combines rapid heat-up, multi-zone precision, and professional-grade components in a compact ceramic fiber kiln designed for bladesmiths and heat treating professionals. With its responsive chamber, advanced control features, and rugged build, the KM9 Pro is perfect for smaller blades, steel testing, and fast production cycles—without sacrificing control.

Why Have a Heat Treating Furnace in Your Shop?

With your own furnace, heat treating becomes more than a task—it becomes a part of your process. Whether you're perfecting your Rockwell readings, dialing in triple quenches, or working with exotic steels, the KM9 Pro puts professional heat treating in your hands. Real testing. Real results. Total control.

Why Choose the PARAGON KM9 Pro?

Compact but loaded with pro-level features, the KM9 Pro is the smallest in the KM Pro lineup, ideal for precision-oriented bladesmiths who value speed, consistency, and craftsmanship.

  • Interior chamber: 5.5" W x 4.3" H x 9" D (0.12 cubic feet)

  • Special Limit Thermocouples: 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouples offer rapid response for more accurate thermal control.

  • Solid-State Relays (SSRs): Three SSRs are mounted on aluminum heat sinks for long life, silent operation, and superior control—no moving parts to wear out.

  • Ceramic Fiber Insulation: Lightweight, ultra-responsive chamber made of 2.5" ceramic fiber heats to 1500°F in just 15 minutes.

  • Surface-Mounted Heating Elements: “Wavy” wall-mounted elements ensure even heat dissipation and long element life.

  • Guillotine Door: Opens vertically and stays cool on the operator side. Spring-assisted for smooth, one-handed operation. No clearance needed behind or beside the unit.

Who is This Furnace For?

The KM9 Pro is ideal for:

  • Bladesmiths working with compact knives or small tools

  • Professionals and schools needing fast heat-up and cool-down cycles

  • Makers conducting metallurgical testing or developing advanced heat treating programs

  • Knife shops with tight production schedules and limited bench space

Optional Upgrades

  • Gas Injection Flow Meter: Inject inert gas like argon to displace oxygen and reduce scaling. Available as a kit or factory-installed.

  • Add a solenoid valve: Automate gas delivery for safer and more efficient operation—only flows when needed.

  • Knifemaking Heat Treating Kit: Includes firebrick supports, blade holders, a 31” fork with sliding handle, and high-heat gloves. Perfect for safe and consistent blade handling.
