Mokume-Gane

Mokume-gane is a Japanese metalworking process that uses colored, mixed metals to produce a distinctive pattern. Mokume-gane roughly translates to “wood grain metal,” alluding to the wood grain like look of the finished blade. The metals used in Mokume-gane are nonreactive metals, typically nickel silver, copper, and brass. Together, they create a beautiful knife that’s easy to maintain and clean. Mokume-game comes in 12” segments of varying heights and widths in an assortment of patterns.
