Sanding Belts
Sanding belts are helpful tools to use in knifemaking. Using the right belt on your belt sander can help you quickly remove stock, shape, smooth, and polish your blade. Ceramic belts work for metal removal, as do zirconia belts. Aluminum oxide belts sharpen, grind, and polish. CF belts provide consistent and clean finishing of your project. Webrax belts are great for light deburring or grinding out small faults in metalworking. Cork belts are the best for producing very bright or mirror-finished surfaces. Felt belts clean up your finished knife, and you can add rouge to them to polish your blade.
