    Product Specification

    High Carbon alloy spring steel with chromium added for hardenability.

    5160 has good wear resistance and is known for outstanding toughness.

    Hardening capability of 57-58 HRC.

    As a spring steel, 5160 will typically come harder than your standard carbon steels.  Our 5160 generally measures 32-35 Rockwell delivered.  (Compared to 1080 measuring in the mid 20's).
