    Product Specification

    52100 is a high carbon, chromium alloy steel primarily used in the bearing industry. Due to its excellent formability through forging it has been highly prized in the cutlery and knifemaking industry. This steel can be heat treated in the same basic fashion as our high carbon steels (eg., 1095, 1084, 1080,and 1075) and has great grindability and shaping to make a perfect knife or similar cutlery tool.
