    Ideal kit for machinists includes:

    Stainless steel, shock-proof 6" Dial Caliper with 0.001" graduation and 4-way measurement. 

    0-1" carbide tipped outside Micrometer with ratchet stop and 0.0001" graduation.

    4" bevel square with a beam size of 2-3/4".  The square has ground and lapped accuracy for straightness, parallelism, and at right angles.

    6" stainless steel flex ruler with a 4R graduation and satin chrome finish.
