    Sambar Stag is well known for its beauty and excellent density for handle material. 

    Genuine Sambar Stag is difficult to obtain but well worth the effort for one of a kind knife handle.  As a natural material, each piece is unique.

    When worked down, a solid, white, surface is obtained which is perfect for carving and scrimshaw.  Work gently to maintain the texture and color of the natural material.

    Sambar stag crowns and tapers are also available.
